DevOps and Site Reliability Software Developer

As a Software Factory DevOps Engineer on our team, you’ll pipeline our software development from requirements to testing in production. You’ll incorporate automation and cloud resources to minimize repetitive tasks and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best—innovate. You’ll work together with fellow professionals to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting.

You Have:

  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git

  • Knowledge of Linux and Unix systems and shell scripting

  • Knowledge of one or more programming languages, such as Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript

  • Knowledge of fundamental DevOps concepts and tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD

  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or GCP

  • Ability to problem solve and learn new technologies quickly

  • Ability to communicate and work effectively in a team environment

  • Ability to learn and adapt to new challenges in a fast-paced environment

  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with configuration management tools, including Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack

  • Experience with machine learning and AI technologies

  • Knowledge of database systems and SQL

  • Knowledge of security best practices in software development and infrastructure

  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and passion for technology


Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
