Position Summary:
Lead field data collection for environmental exposures including various measures of outdoor air pollution, temperature, noise, and aeroallergens.
Lead data analyses, data management, exposure model development/evaluation, manuscript preparation, grant writing, and other research activities under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (Prof. Weichenthal)
Assist in supervising/providing guidance to undergraduate and graduate student researchers
Assist in identifying opportunities for securing resources to support research
Qualifications:
PhD & 5 years of experience in research (the time spent doing their PhD counts towards the 5 years of required research)
PhD in epidemiology with a focus on environmental epidemiology
Experience in modelling spatial/temporal variations in environmental exposures (e.g., air pollution) using machine learning methods
Experience in data visualization
Experience leading field monitoring campaigns including mobile air pollution monitoring and associated data cleaning/data management
Experience using R and Python for statistical analyses.
Knowledge of French and English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally and in writing. The level of English required for this position has been assessed at a level# 4 on a scale of 0-4.
