Roles and Responsibilities
Works within company and customer databases to collect, monitor, audit, evaluate aircraft maintenance data for use in analysis reports, studies, trend analysis. Analyzes deficiencies in areas such as equipment performance, materiel consumption, scheduling, management, and resources. Assists the Database administrator by monitoring users to ensure the database meets their requirements and makes recommendations for improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and/or SQL. Familiarity with big data tools and a desire to work on cutting-edge technologies are highly desirable.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field with no experience.
In lieu of education, at least 8 years of progressive experience in a related field.
Desired Skills
Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, Visual Basic, SQL, and Microsoft Access.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Bi.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once while maintaining flexibility.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn quickly.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervisory direction.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact and brief customer and employees at all levels within the organization
Six Sigma, Green Belt Certification or similar accreditation
Experience with big data tools and frameworks.
Experience with DevSecOps processes.
Understanding of data science applications for Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Experience with ground-up system development (end-to-end system development), as well as support of live production systems.
