As a Junior Data Engineer, you will be part of our awesome Internal Digital and IT department, which consists of 5 people. At Devoteam we are working agile, but also need to continuously optimise our internal BI solution.  Your first task will be to maintain and run the current dataware house, by deep diving into our Snowflake and dbt setup while adapting changes in collaboration with Group IT from our French Headquarters. 

Your primary assignments beside create the overview will also be to:  

•  Build and maintain data warehouses that scale with the organisation’s needs for both, local and Devoteam Group

• Use dbt to create and manage data transformations, developing modular SQL models.

• Monitor pipeline health and data quality by setting up alerts, validations, and anomaly detection to ensure data accuracy and reliability.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs, document workflows, and support the data-driven decision-makings .

• Optimise data infrastructure for security, managing costs and implementing best practices in data governance and access control

To be happy in the role you should be able to see yourself in the below:

• Deep dive into a SQL learning path

• You bring fresh ideas and aren’t afraid to ask questions or think outside the box.

• You thrive with applications/system ownership

It is an advantage if you have a fundamental understanding of dbt, Snowflake, Tableau and Alteryx, but it’s a requirement. 

We are looking for a colleague that is proactive and can create an overview, while also communicating with different stakeholders. You are not afraid to give input to our IT Manager and indirectly to the management on the best solutions.
