Compensation
Sezzle is a remote U.S.-based company listed on NASDAQ. Our salary ranges are as follows:
- $2,000 - $4,580 USD gross per month (Based on experience and performance during the process)

Position
As a Data Analyst at Sezzle, you will play a crucial role in identifying, defining, and tracking key risk indicators to enhance our solutions' performance and safety. You will collaborate closely with Credit Risk, Fraud Risk, Product, Support, Compliance, and Marketing teams to understand their solutions and contribute to the seamless integration of risk controls. Your analytical expertise will help drive the continuous optimization of monitoring metrics, alert systems, and reporting processes, ensuring our stakeholders (Credit and Fraud Risk Teams) have actionable insights to make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Collaborative Insight Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gain a deep understanding of each solution and its potential impact on Credit and Fraud Risk indicators.
- Metric Definition and Dashboard Creation: Define critical Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for monitoring and build comprehensive dashboards to ensure visibility across relevant metrics.
- Proactive Risk Monitoring: Establish effective alert mechanisms, optimizing them to reduce false negatives and minimize false positives, ensuring rapid and reliable response to emerging risks.
- Data Visualization and Communication: Design clear, compelling visualizations and interpret analytics results for stakeholders, enabling timely, data-driven decision-making across departments.
- Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate and refine monitoring approaches to adapt to evolving risks, business objectives, and stakeholder needs.
Minimum Requirements:
- Degree in statistics, math, actuarial science, economics, data science, computer science or related quantitative discipline
- 4+ years of professional experience working with data, which can include: complex dataset creation, reporting, profiling, or machine learning
- Expert in using SQL to extract data and create actionable data sets -Critical
- Experience with Python for data processing and analytics
- Ability to complete analyses with minimal guidance
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Redash, SAS VA, Tableau, Looker, Power BI or other data analytics and reporting tools
- Comfortable making impactful decisions in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment, able to pivot quickly to new priorities
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong business judgment and communication skills (both verbal and in writing)
- Fluent in English (C1 or above)
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline
- Experience optimizing operational and financial performance
