Product Manager, International Public Sector

Scale is at the forefront of the AI revolution, and the International Public Sector team is responsible for generating, executing, and fostering Scale’s work with governments and government-backed entities around the world (excluding the U.S.). There are three core types of work involved:

• Identifying the most promising use cases for Generative AI and computer vision models and then build custom applications to impact millions of people
• Providing high-quality training data for governments seeking to fine-tune or build foundational LLMs
• Providing upskilling and advice on AI strategy through deep partnerships

We are seeking an experienced product manager to join our team and ensure we build the solutions our current clients need and a foundation to replicate applications around the world. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software engineering principles and practices, as well as experience with building software for large enterprises or governments. You will be responsible for owning large, net new areas within our product.

You will:

• Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, product, and design
• Shape the platform that enables Scales to build hundreds of production-ready GenAI solutions for  governments and government-backed entities around the world (excluding the U.S.)
• Work with international government leaders to help them build and improve their GenAI applications that drive Government operations 
• Work with exec leaders to determine and execute the product strategy of the business
• Own end-to-end product development by understanding customer pain points, defining product requirements, managing development and testing, and launches
• Lead cross-functional teams including engineering, product design, operations, marketing, go-to-market and finance

Ideally you'd have:

• Technical degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in building ML-powered products, experience in enterprise-facing or government products is a plus
• Strong understanding of generative AI technologies and their applications in enterprise or government settings
• Experience operating in a fast-paced environment with high ambiguity
• Exceptional leadership, presentation and communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
• Working knowledge of SQL and some coding skills (Python)
