Sr. Field Software Engineer

Tasks

We are looking for a highly skilled and customer-focused Field Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with our clients to implement, integrate, and optimize the Qdrant Vector Database within their applications and systems. You will serve as a technical expert and trusted advisor, ensuring that our clients achieve maximum value from our products.

• Client Collaboration: Work directly with clients to understand their technical requirements, business objectives, and challenges.
• Implementation & Integration: Assist clients in installing, configuring, and integrating Qdran Vector Database into their existing infrastructure.
• Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote support to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
• Product Demonstrations: Conduct demos and technical presentations to showcase product capabilities to potential and existing clients.
• Training & Workshops: Develop and deliver training sessions and workshops to educate clients on product features, best practices, and new updates.
• Feedback & Improvement: Gather client feedback and insights to contribute to product enhancements and inform the internal development roadmap.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Qdrant's engineering, product management, and sales teams to align client needs with company offerings.
• Pre-Sales Support: Assist the sales team with technical expertise during the pre-sales process, including proposal development and technical assessments.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including integration guides, FAQs, and troubleshooting manuals.

Requirements

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JS, Java, etc.
• Strong understanding of search engine technologies, vector search concepts, and similarity algorithms.
• Experience with search engines like Elastic Search, Solr, Open Search
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and handling high-dimensional data.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Customer-oriented mindset with a focus on building strong client relationships.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
