Our organization is responsible for the global Data & Analytics transformation of our manufacturing division. We collaborate internationally to deliver digital services and products that help the organization to achieve its digital strategy. We are also responsible for build and evolve the larger divisional data ecosystem.
The role of a senior data engineer focuses on the engineering and development work related to the building of analytical platform for broader divisional use in our manufacturing division. Significant part of the role is increasing the adoption of built solution across different user bases (scaling from technical savvy IT personnel up to onboarding of people from outside of IT area). Incumbent must understand business/data requirements, formulate appropriate technical solutions, design and build integrations of tools forming analytical ecosystem to support business goals. This role is responsible for driving technical workstreams with other stake holders within manufacturing division and outside of it – especially in the context of working with Enterprise IT-enabling teams (CTO). The incumbent must demonstrate fluency with cloud technologies, such as AWS, and big data environments. Collaboration and the ability to communicate solutions to a non-technical audience is key. Relevant knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems is benefit, including manufacturing execution, lab management, ERP, quality, and supply chain.
Responsibilities
Help building data ecosystem supporting our manufacturing division
Maintain and expand analytical ecosystem and its integrations across the division
Understand and improve data governance processes to enable more smooth data usage across division
Be a technical SME for other manufacturing and CTO product teams
Provide technical guidance and functional leadership to other data engineers in the team
Be responsible for best practices and technical know-how of the team
Work with suit of AWS cloud services and other modern cloud technologies and capabilities and participate in the continuous push for new patters and technology
Solve complex technical & business problems
Get understanding of the manufacturing domain of a pharma company
Interact with the various source system SMEs and participate in building the data availability strategy of the manufacturing division
Work in an international team in an agile setup
Qualifications
5+ years of working in data analytics or data integration/engineering role.
Working experience with designing integration between data analytical tools and optimizing ways how to work with data.
Working experience with data transformations.
Ability to leverage CI/CD patterns in data modelling process.
Programing languages/scripting: SQL, Python
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Fluent English
Deep knowledge of SQL
Knowledge of AWS stack (S3, IAM, Glue)
Interest in helping other engineers grow
