Hourly base pay rate is $21.06 - $31.63/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Environmental Health & Safety Data Analytics Intern

Data that identifies trends, is predictive, leads to effective change, and tells stories is more than just a collection of numbers or points on a chart – it becomes analysis.

We’re looking for an Environmental Health & Safety Data Analytics Intern who can deep dive our data and develop new, creative means to display the data for easy consumption for our EH&S team and the customers we serve across the enterprise. What You’ll Do 

You’ll have the opportunity to mine a treasure trove of metrics in order to build advanced analytics  while establishing a data-driven approach across our business. Here are a few things you’ll do:

  • Identify and translate analytical results into insights and recommendations
  • Perform data analysis and validation, communicating complex analyses concisely
  • Mining and interpreting data, while monitoring and analyzing key metrics to execute reporting
  • Coordinate data feeds and updates and source additional data required for analysis
  • Determine the value of new internal and external data sources, while merging disparate data sets and transforming the data into usable information
  • Assist development teams in creating and maintaining data reporting models
  • Assist in the development and implementation of data monitoring and measurement systems
  • Create new and customer-focused presentation models to enable intuitive data and analysis consumption by field leaders

Who You Are 

You want to do meaningful work with a team that cares about success. You also:

  • Are currently enrolled at an accredited university and pursuing a bachelor’s in a related field
  • Have experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis with a keen knowledge of statistical models
  • Have experience working with reporting tools and large-scale datasets
  • Have the confidence to learn new and powerful tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and PowerApps
  • Have an understanding of data extrapolation, interpretation and chart compilation as well as established skills using Excel
  • Are an effective communicator with strong time management and presentation skills
  • Are currently authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship

Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.
