Hourly base pay rate is $19.18 - $28.80/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Cox Communications is looking for a team-oriented problem solver interested in supporting our business through analysis, metrics programs and collaboration on our analytics team. This role will partner with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on ideas and solutions that impact operational results. Brings a curious attitude and the ability to drive results with minimal direction.
 

SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Provides and conducts analytic efforts to support business operations
- Develops tracking metrics and programs to improve and maintain performance of business processes
- Discovers, cleans and makes available new sources of data pertinent to the business
- Identifies, researches, and resolves discrepancies in analytical procedure or cross-functional methods
- Interprets operational requirements for inclusion in studies and analyses
- Provides recommendations for operational efficiencies and process improvements and assists in process automation development to support change initiatives
- Works with outside expertise engaged to assist or deliver analytic projects
- Automate manual processes into repeatable capabilities
- Understands basic statistical methods and knows how to apply them in data transformations where appropriate
- Understands and uses advanced analytical techniques to model complex operations systems and processes to provide better and/or faster insights
- Conducts business impact analyses and validation studies through all stages: concept formulation, definition of metrics, determination of appropriate statistical methodology, research evaluation, and final research report.
- Tests new technologies, tools, and data

Minimum:
- Functional knowledge of SQL and one of Python (preferred), Spark or R. Experience with writing software and implementing solutions in these languages
- Basic knowledge of statistics. Familiar with quantitative research methods
- Able to translate technical findings to the larger team in a manner that is easily understandable to those less experienced with analytics
- Strong communication skills

Preferred:
- Degree candidate in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering, or closely related field
- Experience in cloud computing environments such as AWS (preferred), GCP or Azure
- Experience in data visualization solutions and data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
