The Opportunity

The Geospatial Data Management role is responsible for maintaining the definitive source of accurate, standardized geospatial data for TC Energy. This includes managing the integration of new and modified assets, overseeing non-asset geospatial data, and establishing effective data management practices to

ensure the integrity and reliability of the organization's critical pipeline master data.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Integrate new assets and update the existing assets, attributes and other critical centerline related data
  • Manage non-asset geospatial data required to support Pipeline Integrity (PI) and programs across TCE
  • Ensure GIS (Geographic Information Systems) data management practices are in place and maintain a trusted source of truth for pipeline master data
  • Implement continuous improvement of GIS data quality, including metrics, issue tracking, and data correction prioritization
  • Provide input and supply requirements into database and tool enhancements and modernization efforts

Individualized Responsibilities:

  • Manage centerline data such as as-built pipeline centerline, pipe attributes, depth of cover (DOC)
  • Manage non-asset datasets supporting PI programs such as Aerial Leak Detection (ALD), Aerial Patrol Reports (APR), One-Call buffers and member codes, Pipeline Area and Region boundaries (AOI), Facility Site Data, and Population Density Survey (PDS)
  • Manage overall alignment process for integrating ILI data into pipeline inspection database to ensure quality and timeliness of data for downstream users.
  • Own Imagery and LiDAR data specification and associated data management procedures.
