Overview

LMI seeks a Junior Energy Data Analyst to support, improve and expand energy efficiencies and capabilities for a current Federal client. LMI is a consultancy dedicated to powering a future-ready, high-performing government, drawing from expertise in cloud technical solutions, logistics, and management advisory services. Responsibilities

  • Support the client with analysis of energy use, distribution, generation, storage, and management.
  • Support statistical modeling of fuel and power requirements for steady state and warfighting scenarios, and review the bulk fuel and power supportability and feasibility of theater posture, operation plans, concept plans, and installations. 
  • Support operations research and other data analytical methods to facilitate decision making and justify resource allocation.
  • Provide support for the transition of the client to become a data-driven organization.
  • Support in-depth analysis to facilitate informed decision making and policy development.
  • Provide support and direct development for data collection, data quality assurance, and in-depth analysis related to operational energy.

 

Qualifications

  • Competence in quantitative methods and applied mathematics
  • Understanding of the fundamental concepts and techniques of operations research to installation energy and operational energy challenges.
  • Experience developing models and simulations and synthesizing information into quantitative and qualitative assessments to support senior leader decision- making.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in: Operations Research, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics or Management Science. Experience programming and deploying web-accessible software applications and/or programming/developing and deploying DoD-oriented models and simulations for analytic wargaming and/or operational research.
  • Knowledge and understanding of, and practical experience in, the application of quality management and assurance techniques.
  • Clearance: Clearance Eligible

 

Target salary range: $68,000 - $119,000
