Are you a skilled Data Scientist with a proven track record of developing Machine Learning (ML) solutions that create a commercial impact? Are you enthusiastic about working with data, leveraging advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to drive actionable insights and data-driven decision? The Commercial Data Science Center of Excellence (CoE) is part of Commercial Excellence where the commercial execution takes place. We play a vital role in developing Data and ML solutions that support strategic initiatives and commercial activities.

We are a diverse team of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, and ML Engineers with colleagues in both Denmark, India, and Lithuania. We have a very research-oriented culture and aim at staying up to date through various research projects with university partnerships across the greater Copenhagen area.

As part of the Commercial Data Science (CoE), you will work in our modern office in Vilnius. We support the Nordic countries (Denmark, Sweden, and Finland) with Data Science projects.

We work closely with the development organization to deliver and integrate these solutions in our product offering, such as the Mobile Bank, eBank, website and to frontline advisors. We develop a wide range of models that identify customer needs and Life Events, used to present the customer with relevant messages and optimize our marketing activities. Also, you will work towards developing and automating data, AI, and ML solutions that support Danske Bank’s commercial agenda.

We aim to create a good social atmosphere by arranging events, such as hackathons, board game nights, team days, etc.

Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer you different seniority of the role.

You will:

  • Create definitions and logic of various data elements while closely collaborating with business units
  • Ensure data quality, robustness and accuracy by implementing robust testing methodologies and frameworks
  • Design data products tailored to various commercial initiatives
  • Conduct advanced data analysis to uncover valuable insights and trends
  • Visualize data and findings using tools and packages
  • Develop predictive machine learning model of customer wants, needs and behaviour
  • Communicate results and findings for the stakeholders
  • Proactively engage with stakeholders and other teams to identify opportunities for data-driven solutions and improvements

About you:

  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis and data science (preferably in the banking, financial or marketing sectors)
  • Experience with Python
  • At least intermediate proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with hands-on data analysis and visualization
  • Proficiency in data storytelling and ability to translate data-driven insights into compelling narratives and commercial opportunities
  • Passion and curiosity for data science and advanced analytics field
  • Proven ability to work proactively and independently address the challenges
  • Experience with Spark (would be a great plus)
  • Former exposure to other advanced analytics technologies (would be a great plus)
  • Upper-Intermediate English language skills

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 3280 EUR to 4920 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
