Deutsche Bank’s Global Real Estate (GRE) division manages the office buildings and branches of the bank, overseeing a cost base in excess of €1 billion. The GRE Cost & Data Analytics team is responsible for the data, analytics and reporting to support the GRE organisation. Our mission is to provide stakeholders with the data insights to make Real Estate decisions that are appropriately informed by data.

You will play a pivotal role in driving impactful change to Deutsche Bank’s real estate portfolio. Utilising your strong technical and interpersonal skills, you will be highly involved at every stage of the change lifecycle: from formulating data requirements and building reports, through to identifying actionable insights and clearly articulating findings to stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

  • Reviewing data to uncover business insights and identify recommendations
  • Communicating your proposals to stakeholders and gain the buy-in and engagement of others to turn the findings into action
  • Designing new automated reports & visualisations to better understand and explain the utilisation of office and branch space, plus the associated costs
  • Engaging with senior management on high profile topics, such as Deutsche Bank’s adoption of a hybrid working strategy and its implications on current space usage & future real estate strategy
  • Working with Technology colleagues to innovate GRE’s analytical platform as we migrate to a Google Cloud based service, such as utilising Artificial Intelligence-related technologies to automatically answer queries and reveal insights

Your skills and experience

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate findings and technical concepts to business stakeholders and senior management
  • Highly adept at manipulating large volumes of data to identify insights (e.g. SQL, Excel, Access, Python, BigQuery etc.)
  • Experience with data visualisation software (e.g. Google Looker, Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy, etc.)
