The Global Technology Leader of Data & Analytics will focus on leading the development and implementation of data-driven strategies to enhance product offerings and consumer experiences. Key responsibilities include managing data engineering and analysis processes, overseeing a high-performing team of data professionals, and fostering cross-department collaboration to integrate analytics into business practices. The role requires driving innovation in data analytics tools and staying updated on industry trends. This role reports to the Global Technology Leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and Implementing Data Strategies: Lead the creation of data-driven strategies that enhance product offerings, supply chain and consumer journeys
  • Overseeing Data Engineering and Analysis: Manage processes for data governance, engineering, and analysis to provide the framework for data-informed decision-making across departments.
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team of data professionals (engineers, product managers, governance), ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely insights.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with IT and business leaders to integrate reporting, analytics into business processes, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Driving Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and drive innovation in data analytics tools and methodologies to maintain a competitive advantage.

Required Experience

  • Educational Background: Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional Experience: 8+ years of experience in data analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the technology sector.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the cycling or sports equipment industry is a plus.

Technology Background

  • Data Analytics Tools: Proficiency in tools such as SQL, Python, R, Tableau, or Power BI for data visualization and analysis.
  • Data Management Systems: Experience with Snowflake or other data warehousing solutions.
  • Machine Learning & AI: Understanding of machine learning algorithms and their application in predictive analytics.
  • Cloud-based Data Stack: Experience with Snowflake, Matillion, or other data warehousing and ETL solutions.

Skills

  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
  • Story Telling: Ability to translate analytical outcomes and results into compelling narratives and/or presentations for key stakeholders and leadership.
  • Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership and management skills with proven experience in transforming individuals into a high performing team.  Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Business Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to develop long-term technical strategies that align with business goals.

Pay 

Below is a summary of compensation elements for this role at the company if based in the following locations: 

California Base Pay Range: $133,983 - $248,285 

Colorado Base Pay Range: $127,284 $227,594  

*At Specialized, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package and will depend on your work experience, skills, certification, and location. 

Location:

We are open to hiring this individual in Louisville, CO or Morgan Hill, CO.

In office 4 days a week.
