Summary

We are seeking a talented Director, People Business Partner to join our rapidly growing company. Our ideal next teammate will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management both within and across your core client group. You’ll play a critical, partnership oriented  role  within the People function, helping to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the organization's business objectives.


What You’ll Do:

  • Act as a change agent and member of your organization’s leadership team to help drive strategic growth plans and objectives across the organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior leadership, aligning people strategy with business objectives
  • Provide organizational development recommendations and support organization design, development solutions, leadership coaching, and proactive change management.
  • Engage in strategic workforce planning by assessing organizational capabilities; identify competency and talent gaps, ensure development of people resources; and introduce succession planning.
  • Build strong partnerships across the People team roles and functions as well as operate as part of a larger People Partner team to create a consistent employee experience.
  • Influence business and talent initiatives that support our short and long-term business goals, including driving practices that enable high performance and operational excellence.
  • Share insights from people data to uncover hot spots and ensure Anaconda is taking proactive action to retain top talent.
  • Support the 360 performance review process: manager calibrations, facilitate training sessions, and host office hours.
  • Coach managers to lead through change, effectively performance manage, and increase employee engagement with ongoing feedback and effective communication.
  • Deliver people programs to client groups - balancing company needs with your understanding of unique client group needs
  • Drive workforce planning initiatives and build capabilities needed to achieve each department’s vision and strategy
  • Leverage data to build insights and craft compelling stories that influence a diverse set of leaders


What You Need:

  • Prior thought or people leadership experience in an international tech industry start-up, with high growth (>60% YoY). 
  • Strong operational mindset with a track record of developing and refining processes at scale.
  • Strong understanding of employee development strategies that align with company objectives. 
  • Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment and comfortable making hard decisions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate business needs into talent strategies.
  • Strong understanding of the People function and interdependencies with other functions. 
  • Working knowledge of multiple People disciplines, such as compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state employment laws.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze factors and variables, solve problems, improve processes, and identify creative solutions. Ability to implement a program or process from concept to completion.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Experience working in an open-source, AI, or data science-oriented company
