As Senior Data & Solutions Architect you are the expert in building scalable data platform environments while enabling your colleagues to build analytics and machine learning models of all kind. You are the expert in not only building pipelines and platforms the right way but also focus on the architecture side of the house. Thanks to your experience, you help Mindfuelers in all kind of projects to design the right data architectures based on your validated designs fitting on the needs of the customer’s situation. Within the Mindfuel team, you bond with data engineers and data scientists to delight those who truly care by building end-to-end data products for our customers. With regards to your technical background, you understand the challenges ahead and you know how to tackle and resolve them together with your team - always better together ​

What will be your responsibility

• Lead efforts to modernize legacy systems and integrate emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and real-time data platforms.
• Assist our customers in translating their business requirements into a clear, comprehensive target vision for their system and data landscape.
• Design technical solution architectures for data products and platforms and devise comprehensive implementation plans to ensure their successful execution.
• Assist customers in defining roles, responsibilities and processes to support platform and data-driven product development and operations.
• Analyze our customer's systems and data landscapes to assess maturity, identify gaps, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
• Oversee the design and implementation of data pipelines to ensure alignment with best practices and guidelines.
• Collaborate with vendors and stakeholders to evaluate and select technologies that meet technical and business requirements.
• Provide guidance on effective data modeling in the context of Lakehouse or more traditional Data Warehouse architectures.
• Mentor junior colleagues by offering technical oversight and personalized guidance to support their professional growth and career development.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of professional work experience at the interplay of data science and engineering, strategy, consultancy and entrepreneurship (e.g. tech consultancy, strategy consultancy, digital product management, startups)
• 3+ years of working experience in data architecture and engineering especially with a focus on cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake and similar technologies
• Experience with data-related frameworks and programming languages to build data products and data platforms, e.g. Python, Spark, dbt, or/and others
• Experience with data modeling techniques such as 3NF, dimensional modeling and Data Vault
• Proficiency in the design and implementation of GenAI / ML architectures and MLOps processes
• (Technical) higher education: B.Sc./M.Sc.. in computer science, informatics, physics, engineering or related fields with strong academic performance
• Experience in stakeholder management, from technical level up to top management
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively in German & English, both verbally and in writing
• Basic consulting toolbox in order to amaze our clients with amazing storylines and sharp analyses (e.g. MS Office, business case calculations, hypotheses-based problem solving)
• Great teaching skills to enable others, strategic thinking and entrepreneurial spirit, ambition to break new digital ground and identify growth opportunities
