Role Summary:

• Compilation & integration of model scripts, geospatial applications and database management systems (Ex. AWS, Microsoft Azure, Cloudera/Hortonwork data platform)
• Good understanding of IT Infra/Enterprise Architecture, Configuration, deployment strategy
• Expert in Computer vision and programming (R, Python, JavaScript, PHP, HTML, VB)

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION:

• Preferably, Masters in Computer Science, Geoinformation Science or closely related discipline with 2 years of work experience OR Bachelor with minimum 4 years of experience.

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience in big data management with demonstrated skills in processing, automation, compilation/integration and deployment in the processing/production server.
• Knowledge about the storage and production server configurations and architecture for efficient deployment of the machine learning algorithms/models
• Working experience in data warehouse projects, analytics platforms, system analysis & design
• Knowledge about remote sensing, GIS technologies, software & tools and development of datasets & documentation of Earth science data
• Proficiency with interpreted data languages for Earth science data using either Python, MATLAB, R, IDL, JavaScript etc.
• Experience with reading subsetting, interpreting and utilizing geospatially referenced and structured data for research and operational remote sensing applications
• Familiarity & experience in metadata standards & conventions with a command on scientific software tools such as R, NCO, HDF library, ArcGIS & Python.
• Experience in developing dashboards with interactive widgets/tools, experienced in WebGIS & Hadoop (cloudera/hortonwork) infrastructure & environment with insightful reporting solutions to quantify the model performance and its business impact.
• Experience with version control (Ex. GitHub) & agile development practices with proficiency working in UNIX/Linus command-line environment and shell scripting
• Competency in project development & deployment strategy
• Building cross-functional relationships to collaborate with the business stakeholders and collaborate with internal stakeholders/customers.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. Able to relate technical information to all levels of the organization.

• Those with 1 to 2 years of working exposure or experience in a similar role will have an advantage but not essential.
• Willing to relocate to the job location.
