Director of Business Analytics & Insights (Sales)

CI Financial is seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our D&A team as the Director of Business Analytics and Insights. In this pivotal role, you will drive strategic initiatives that enhance our sales performance and client engagement. By leveraging data-driven insights, you will lead a talented analytics team to deliver impactful solutions that align with our company's goals and values.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of business analytics professionals to deliver high-quality insights and actionable recommendations to our sales & distribution team.
  • Strategic leadership: Collaborate with sales leadership to understand the unique dynamics of wholesales/advisor relationships, using data to guide sales strategies that enhance effectiveness and client retention. Develop and manage analytics strategies that provide actionable insights for the sales team, focusing on engagement, performance tracking, and growth opportunities.
  • Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the organization to ensure alignment and collaboration on business objectives.
  • Communication skills: Present findings, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership and other key stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner, translating complex data into actionable reports and strategic plans.
  • Performance Management: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and relevant metrics to measure behavior, engagement, and sales activities. Continuously monitor, create dashboards, and report on these metrics, providing actionable insights to optimize performance.
  • D&A Transformation: Drive the adoption of analytics tools that enhance data accessibility, visualization, and reporting. Work closely with IT and D&A functions (i.e. data engineering , data governance, data operations) to ensure high data quality and compliance.
  • Democratize data access across the organization, ensuring that relevant data is available to key stakeholders for informed decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation within the analytics function.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business analytics.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in business analytics and business intelligence within a B2B environment, ideally in financial services or asset management.
  • Technical degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), statistical software (e.g., Python), and CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce); with a strong working knowledge and understanding of SQL.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern data architectures.
  • Exceptional leadership and people management abilities, with a focus on fostering a collaborative and results-driven team culture.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of conveying complex data and insights to executive teams and sales leaders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of asset management, financial services, or wealth management industries, with an understanding of advisor sales cycles and product needs.

Hybrid Work Environment

Our company operates in a hybrid work environment, offering flexibility for employees to work remotely and in the office. As part of this arrangement, all employees are required to be present in the office for a minimum of three days per week.
