We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Biomarker Data Scientist to join our growing Data Science and Biometry group.
The candidate will contribute to clinical biomarkers analysis and interpretation, enabling advancement of our molecules through clinical phases, as well as back-translation research to fuel our growing early drug discovery portfolio.
The location of the position will be Toulouse, with high flexibility in terms of commuting from France/Europe and home office.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and deploy processing, analytics, and visualization pipelines for omics-based clinical biomarkers data, primarily ctDNA and RNAseq.
- Collaborate closely with translational research, drug development, and clinical teams to address key scientific questions in translational oncology research using pre-clinical, clinical, and real-world evidence datasets.
- Develop scientific publications to communicate new findings to the wider scientific community.
- Stay updated with the latest scientific literature and technological advancements in the field.
Who are you?
- An advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in applying analytics to high dimensional molecular data and a proven ability to generate actionable hypotheses.
- Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting ctDNA and RNAseq data.
- Proficiency in Python and R programming languages, with a proven track record of conveying scientific results through both static and interactive reports and visualizations (e.g., RShiny and others).
- Skilled in scripting within Unix/Linux environments and proficient in using command-line interfaces with high-performance computational clusters and cloud computing platforms. Committed to good coding practices and adept at writing reproducible scripts within version control systems (e.g., Git or similar).
- Excellent English written and oral, presentation and communication skills.
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
