About This Opportunity
The Strategic Finance Manager (FP&A) will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategies and performance. This position will require a deep understanding of SaaS models, subscription and licensing revenue models, and a strong proficiency in data analytics, business intelligence (BI), and financial modeling, with the ability to program and utilize SQL or similar tools for advanced data analysis.
What You Will Do
- Strategic Financial Leadership: Build and implement financial plans aligned with the company’s strategic objectives to support growth, efficiency, and profitability.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage SQL and other programming languages to analyze large datasets, derive actionable insights, and create predictive models that influence executive decision-making.
- B2B Subscription Expertise: Develop deep understanding of the B2B subscription and licensing model, driving forecasting, budgeting, and reporting on recurring revenue streams.
- Business Analytics & KPIs: Establish and maintain company-wide business analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) that provide real-time insights into financial and operational performance.
- Collaboration with Executives: Partner with senior leadership to understand long-term business objectives and uncover opportunities to accelerate growth and drive efficiencies.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of quantitative analysis, data accuracy, and forward-thinking financial planning.
- Ad Hoc Reporting & Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis and create customized reports as needed to address specific business challenges or opportunities.
What We Are Looking For
- Technical Expertise in Data & BI: Strong proficiency in SQL or other programming languages for financial and business data analysis. Familiarity with BI tools and platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- SaaS & Subscription Model Experience: Proven experience working in a SaaS or other subscription-based company, with an understanding of recurring revenue models and customer lifetime value.
- Financial Acumen: 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision support in high-growth technology environments. Investment banking, private equity, or corporate development experience.
- Leadership & Team Management: Demonstrated ability to build and lead FP&A teams, creating a high-trust environment that emphasizes data-driven decision-making.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills with a proven ability to partner effectively across finance, product, business intelligence, and operations teams.
- Advanced Financial Modeling: Ability to create detailed financial models and forecasts, applying quantitative analysis to drive business performance improvements.
- Tools & Systems: Familiarity with financial planning tools such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, or similar. Advanced Excel/Google Sheet skills and experience with database systems for data retrieval and analysis.
