THE TEAM

At THE ICONIC, innovation drives us; we believe that innovation should not be sitting in a siloed team but rather be part of everyone and everything we do & deliver. Every person in tech has a voice and we find that our best products are achieved through collaboration (usually over a coffee in front of a whiteboard).

We have over 120 people in tech, not to mention 45 nationalities (and counting!) This means that our skills and experience are diverse, allowing for greater collaboration and constant learning. All of our teams are cross-functional, mission-driven and able to iterate from inception to production (DevOps mentality) without being blocked or having to ask permission from other teams. We love to move fast and validate learning using data (lucky for us our Data Science & Analytics team is also world-class!)

SCOPE OF ROLE

• You will be working in an agile environment on enterprise-level, high-quality software and infrastructure to support THE ICONIC as a leader in the online retail space.
• Our team manages the infrastructure platform for THE ICONIC’s tech and engineering teams, and is always looking for opportunities to increase the speed of delivery and ensure system uptime. We are a fully remote team working across 3 time zones within ANZ.

WHAT IT TAKES

• Ability to clearly articulate complex architectural and technical problems
• Familiarity with agile and lean software development
• Experience with Docker containers and deploying/managing Kubernetes workloads
• AWS cloud (EKS, VPC, EC2, RDS, IAM)
• 3+ years web services at scale
• 3+ years coding in Python or Node.js
• 3+ years experience deploying solutions on AWS

Ways to stand out from the crowd

• Exposure to the following technologies: Infrastructure as code (Terraform, CDK), CICD
• (GitHub Actions, Bamboo), CDN (Cloudflare, CloudFront, Akamai), observability tools
• (Datadog, Grafana)
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator
