DOMA is currently seeking a motivated Director of Data and Innovations to lead our organization's data-driven strategy and innovation initiatives. This role is pivotal in leveraging data as a strategic asset to drive organic growth, operationalize mission use cases and unlock new growth opportunities. The ideal candidate will align strategies, roadmaps, and priorities with public health customer needs while integrating them into our internal strategies, fostering a customer-centric approach to innovation and growth. Understanding the customer, their needs and strategic direction is paramount to this role.

Requirements

• Drive the exploration and implementation of innovative solutions that address key public health challenges using advanced data analytics, AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies.
• Establish an innovation and R&D framework to ensure efficient, secure, data utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore and execute new use case ideas aligned to customer needs using data as a catalyst.
• Translate customer roadmaps into compelling and tangible growth opportunities, articulating the vision, and then rally a team of supporting engineers and SMEs to achieve measurable outcomes.
• Build and lead a high-performing team focused on data innovation, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Serve as a thought leader, promoting a culture of innovation and growth.
• Attend customer events and speaking engagements to remain aligned in the customer direction.
• Lead development of white papers, case studies, proof of concepts, prototypes and pilots.
• Serve as chief architect on key client engagements, including writing and developing scalable solutions leveraging data science and advanced analytics.
• Develop and maintain strong external relationships with key government stakeholders and partners.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Management, or other related or equivalent experience.  
• Strong expertise in cloud, data analytics, artificial intelligence, NLP and other data technology solutions.
• Proven experience in roles supporting federal government civilian agencies or federal public health agencies (HHS, NIH, CMS,FDA, VA, DHA/MHS) requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to align future customer needs and mission priorities with internal capabilities and resources to deliver meaningful outcomes.
• Experience supporting technology and innovation strategies aligned to company growth and business development activities.
• Ability to build partnerships, bridge gaps, and reach a common understanding between business-oriented stakeholders, technical leadership, and subject matter experts.
• Exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• US Citizenship required. Must also be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information, if necessary.
