We are seeking a Senior Solution Architect for our Data Management Squad. This role is critical in shaping the future of data management solutions within the bank, ensuring that our systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with our strategic goals.

Data Platform Tribe supports Data & Analytics systems as shared services for Danske Bank Group. The Tribe supports Enterprise Data Warehouse, Big Data, Machine Learning & AI, Business Intelligence tooling and Data Management solutions.

The Data Platform tribe consists of 11 squads, each comprising approximately 8-12 full-time employees, including a Product Owner and a Chapter Lead. The squads operate as global entities with employees and consultants located in Denmark, Lithuania, and India.

With our Forward ’28 strategy, the area is undergoing a major transition in terms of technology, processes and business impact. Most notably is transition to public cloud for a vast number of applications within the area, but also across the entire organization with a goal to reduce legacy, enhance Data Management and compliance and lay the foundation for a new modern enterprise data platform solution.

As a Senior Solution Architect, you will be a key member of the Squad and member of the Architect Chapter with reference to Data Platform Tribe Architect. You will lead the architecture and design effort within the Squad, but also team-up with hands-on implementations to guide and formulate the principles for these systems.

You will be located in Vilnius, Lithuania.

Depending on your experience and knowledge, we may offer you different seniority of the role.

You will:

  • Design and implement effective data management systems and tools to support the bank's operations and strategic initiatives
  • Collaborate with IT specialists, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define and refine data architecture frameworks and practices
  • Take responsibility for the target architecture of data management solutions, providing guidance and mentorship to team members and ensuring alignment with the bank’s overall IT architecture
  • Develop and enforce policies for data processing and storage, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and best practices
  • Evaluate new technologies and methodologies that can enhance the scalability and security of data management systems
  • Actively participate in hands-on work with technically challenging tasks, providing expert solutions and insights
  • Deeply understand the complex architectural landscapes and how data flows are implemented across different architectures, ensuring integration and coherence

About you:

  • Proven experience in enterprise setup working with Data Management implementations or in a related field
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Solid understanding of database structures, data modelling, data warehousing, and data lakes
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and familiarity with programming languages such as SQL, Python, or Java
  • Solid leadership skills with experience providing technical leadership or managing teams
  • Great analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with advanced communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to handle hands-on, technically challenging tasks and contribute directly to projects
  • Expertise in analysing and mapping out data flows within complex architectural frameworks
  • Upper-Intermediate English skills

We offer:

Monthly salary range from 5440 EUR to 8160 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).
