Summary
M&E Data Visualization Officer, working under the supervision of the M&E Manager and in collaboration with Global Technical Team (GTT) staff, will play a key role in the development and implementation of the VillageReach DRC M&E strategy and supporting Ministry of Health (MoH) programs in data management. The M&E Data Visualization Officer is expected to demonstrate experience in data collection, management, cleaning, analysis and reporting and be motivated by VillageReach’s mission of health care to reach everyone.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time.
- Work closely with the Ministry of Health (MoH) programs to improve data collection, cleaning, analysis, sharing and storage.
- Support the development and submission of research protocols in coordination with partner and VillageReach colleagues including finalization of qualitative and participatory data collection methodologies, sampling strategies and data collection tools.
- Contribute to descriptive/standard data analysis, data visualizations and reporting.
- Advise DRC solutions and program teams in data use for decision-making.
- Support routine maintenance of data analytics processes and systems.
- Ensure the effective involvement of all partners (government, technical partners, etc.) in the implementation of data analytics and visualization solutions
- Contribute to project progress updates and reports involving data.
- Partner with VillageReach DRC colleagues to facilitate knowledge management and collaboration among global and country staff including developing, documenting, and disseminating lessons learned from the data and results of program implementation, evaluations and research studies.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Education & Experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in public health, international development, information design, statistics or related with a concentration in data visualization, qualitative analysis, monitoring & evaluation, or related field.
- At least 5 years work experience in a similar position and in the field of technology in global health or international development.
- Experience in data analytics /monitoring and evaluation in the context of public health.
- Experience in Project/Program management: Familiar with program and project management principles and strategies including defining indicators and monitoring indicators against targets and conducting data quality assurance (DQA) reviews.
- Advanced experience using Tableau. Experience using Power BI a plus.
- Advanced experience using Microsoft Excel. Experience creating dashboards using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) a plus.
- Familiarity with ArcGis Server and ArcGIS Online.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and especially Excel) and comfortable with digital data collection tools (KoboCollect, CsPro, Survey CTO, Open Data Kit, CommCare,…).
- Demonstrated experience in the use of secondary data (DHIS2, Infomed, DHS Program).
- Ability to synthesize and deliver information to diverse audiences in a clear and concise way. Write reports and proposals for the Ministry of Health and donors.
- Exceptional ability to analyze multiple data sources to identify data trends and provide recommendations on project implementation.

- English and French language skills required.

Environment and Physical Demands:
The Distribution and Transportation Manager would be based in Nairobi in the KIPS project office. These may have no private offices, employees work in a shared, open environment with task and conference rooms accessible to employees for privacy and meetings. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. The staff member will be expected to be in the project office during normal office hours, except when traveling.

Benefits
VillageReach has an established compensation structure that is based on the relevant market and internally transparent. The range for this position is $38,300 to $46,000. We hire people into the established range based on one’s experience and education and considering internal equity. We do not inquire about salary history.
