What you will do as a Financial Data Reporting Analyst at HealthNet:

The Financial Data Reporting Analyst exists to provide leadership, coordination, planning, and project management related to data reporting and analysis for organizational performance improvement. The position will serve as a resource person to all levels of management, providers, and staff in reviewing, understanding, and analyzing financial data for performance improvement initiatives. This role provides report generation, data validation, data analysis support, and serves as an expert user. 


Report Writing:

  • Designs, develops, and formats reports and spreadsheets for distribution of data. Assists with the usage of information. 
  • Takes concept from requestor and designs reports to achieve desired results. Imports/exports data in multiple formats to support organizational needs. 
  • Applies in-depth knowledge of organizational system structure in the production of both standard and custom reports. 
  • Provides accurate and timely data as requested for the maintenance of operations, implementation of new programs, or as part of the decision-making process. 
  • Provides subject matter expertise in development and creation of organization-wide financial reports.
  • Ensures that reporting tools used accomplish business needs and meet customer expectations. 
  • Is an outside the box thinker in regard to report writing. 
  • Tries to simplify and standardize report processes as they relate to the organization and how we can make a greater impact. 
  • Generates and distributes standard reports according to required schedules.

Troubleshooting:

  • Assists in operational troubleshooting and in streamlining work processes. 
  • Reviews and edits reports to determine omissions and/or errors and makes appropriate corrections to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Quality Control:

  • Conducts audits for accuracy of data transmission. Provides expertise in identifying new data collection requirements.

Continuous Performance Improvement:

  • Involved in the planning, development, and implementation of projects that support and enhance multidisciplinary performance improvement initiatives. Monitors data integrity and participates in organizational problem resolution. 
  • Supports data analysis and requirements for performance improvement teams. Seeks opportunities to learn new tasks and to improve performance on current tasks.
  • Responsible for user resource documentation. Documents all projects and data requests and the process used and data provided for those requests. Includes detailed documentation for the design and implementation of specialized databases and reports.

Communication:

  • Collaborates with leadership, finance, information systems, and other members of the health care team to identify opportunities, establish priorities, and develop action plans to address performance improvement. 
  • Collaborates with the Data Analytics Team to ensure a full understanding of eClinicalWorks Business Optimizer, Azara, and other internal shared systems.
  • Serves as a change agent and provides consultative services to departments and clinicians to support financial improvement initiatives. Able to modify communication style and explanation of results to fit multiple audiences.

Systems Administration:

  • Coordinates with Information Systems for file maintenance and software specifications.

What you will need as a Financial Data Reporting Analyst at HealthNet:

  • Currently not sponsoring for work visa.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Experience in Computer Science or Computer Technology preferred.
  • Experience in health care setting preferred, especially outpatient and/or FQHC.
  • Requires extensive knowledge of SQL, MS Excel, MS Access, and Visual Basic or similar software. Experience with Cognos, SQL Server, and Power BI preferred.
  • Requires ability to comprehend complex technical and logic flows.
  • Requires knowledge of appropriate programming languages and structured programming techniques.
  • Requires ability to analyze and interpret data.
