Junior Data Engineer

Job Description

• Develop and maintain internal data platform for storing and visualisation of data from the energy sector
• Build scalable and reliable data pipelines that retrieve and transform time series
• Develop prototypes and support the deployment of models and algorithms into the production environment
• Visualise findings through dashboards to make data understandable
• Work with analysts and developers to understand their needs and deliver high-quality data-driven solutions
• Collaborate with infrastructure team to monitor and optimise data systems

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or similar field
• Strong programming skills in Python with pandas for manipulating real-world datasets and in SQL for transforming time series data
• Experienced with Databricks (Lakehouse Architecture), Azure, Power BI, DataOps and/or DevOps
• Strong interest in data modelling (conceptual, logical, physical), ETL development, and data warehousing
• Full professional proficiency in English
