As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be pivotal in accelerating the delivery of production-grade applications that help fuel Vidmob’s growth and scale to meet the demanding needs of our enterprise clients. You will enhance the developer experience and boost productivity through self-service capabilities and automated infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-scale software solutions to manage and leverage the big data that flows through our platform

  • Utilize expertise in modern programming languages (we use TypeScript) to create robust and scalable code

  • Collaborate closely with product teams and other business units to conceive, plan, and deliver products that exceed user expectations

  • Take ownership of products end-to-end, including all related infrastructure (IaC)

  • Work with Snowflake and Databricks, leveraging their capabilities for working with big data and analytics

  • Engage with AI technologies like NLP, LLMs, computer vision, and generative AI, not just as concepts but as integral tools within Vidmob’s ecosystem. These aren’t just buzzwords at Vidmob, we use them daily!

  • Mentor fellow engineers, fostering an environment of learning and growth

  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage through automated unit, integration, and API testing

  • Utilize DataDog for monitoring and ensuring the observability of systems

  • Adopt a security-first mindset in all aspects of application development

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 10+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-scale data environment

  • Expert ability in a modern coding language (TypeScript preferred)

  • Proven track record with AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, and AI technologies

  • Strong understanding of automated testing and system observability

  • Demonstrated ability in mentoring and leading technical teams

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to issue resolution
