Your tasks:

• As Principal Generative AI (m/f/x), you are a central part of the management team, where your role doesn't include disciplinary management but is characterized by responsibility for strategic issues and technical expertise. In doing so, you will examine the strategic direction of your specialist unit, keep an eye on market-related trends, drive forward with related topics across the board and empower employees.

• You will build the bridge between technologist and business in your role. You will help explore the possibilities of generative AI and machine learning.

• You'll help the company exploit the full potential of large language models, small language models, diffusion models and multimodal foundation models. In addition, you will introduce and optimize techniques such as fine-tuning, alignment, retrieval-augmented generation, agents and flow engineering to make the most of the diverse machine learning opportunities and to develop innovative solutions.

• You will discuss in-depth and complex industry-specific business concepts with technologists and the management team to develop innovative strategies and develop tailored solutions. In doing so, you contribute your comprehensive expertise to unite different perspectives and make forward-looking decisions.

• You'll run large, complex projects, from generating ideas, developing a vision and scoping to launching millions of users.

• You work to ensure compliance with EU AI law and promote responsible AI practices within the organization.

• You attach great importance to talent development and actively promote knowledge exchange throughout the company.

• You drive forward with digital innovations and function as an "inspirational tech leader" throughout the company, making you the link between the units of Mercedes-Benz Tech Innovation, the international tech hubs and the Mercedes-Benz Group AG.

Your profile:

• You have in-depth experience in machine learning, generative AI, data science, and cloud native technologies. This also includes automation and cloud architecture. With your expert knowledge and several years of practical experience, you know exactly how to create real value and develop innovative solutions by using machine learning.

• You have several proven years of experience in implementing large-scale applications and ensure that the AI solutions developed are robust, scalable and efficient. Your expertise allows you to successfully implement complex projects while always ensuring the highest quality standards.

• You are innovative, disruptive and always future-oriented, always looking for new ways to expand the limits of possibility and actively help shape the future.

• You have strong collaborative skills that allow you to effectively work with a variety of teams and stakeholders, create synergies and work together to develop innovative solutions.

• As a representative of Mercedes-Benz Tech Innovation, you also act as a speaker (m/f/x) at conferences and impress the audience with your presence, in-depth specialist knowledge and your ability to convey complex topics understandably and inspiringly.

• You are a networker (m/f/x) and able to build a strong internal and external network that helps promote a consistent and consistent AI strategy.

• Your excellent communication skills allow you to present complex issues in an understandable way and convince stakeholders at all levels.
