Job Description

You will contribute by helping our team support our business colleagues in making data-driven decisions. You will be working from our Abu Dhabi office and will be part of our corporate data engineering team, which is based in the Netherlands. The data engineering team is responsible for gathering, processing, and making important data available to our business. As a member of this team, you will help design and build reports to create dashboards and analytics solutions that support our key business decisions. You will be involved in some projects that require a lot of data.

As a data analytics engineer, you will combine our Offshore and Dredging knowledge with technology. For example, the data you provide will help our tender teams decide which tenders to bid on and estimate our chances of success. Or it will help us determine when to dock our vessels and how to improve the productivity of our production processes.

Your responsibilities as a data analytics engineer (front end)

• Gather and analyze reporting requirements.
• Design and build dashboards to create a modern analytics environment in PowerBI.
• Maintain and optimize our PowerBI reporting environment.
• Act as backup for the development and support of our Power Apps.

Your qualities 

You can make your mark as data analytics engineer if you have:

• Relevant experience or coursework in data analytics.
• A Bachelor's degree, preferably in IT Engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of Power BI and Excel.
• An understanding of Power Apps.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure SQL, Databricks, and ETL processes would be a plus.
• A good command of written and spoken English.

• Your team:  You will be part of the Abu Dhabi team and you will also work closely together with the head office corporate IT team.
