Guidewire Analytics helps insurers and other financial institutions to model new and evolving risks such as cyber. By combining internet-scale data listening, adaptive machine learning, and insurance risk modeling, Guidewire Analytics insights help P&C customers face new risks, take advantage of new opportunities and develop new products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain data models to support business requirements and ensure data integrity
  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL Pipelines
  • Write efficient, maintainable, and reusable code using SQL and at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, GoLang, GoSu, etc).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure our solutions remain innovative and competitive.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Policy Center, Billing Center, or Claim Center.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database design and optimization.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, GoLang, GoSu, etc).
  • Proven experience in data modeling, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Experience with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry standards and practices is a plus.
