Johns Hopkins, founded in 1876, is America's first research university and home to nine world-class academic divisions working together as one universityJohns Hopkins University's School of Medicine is seeking a dedicated Sr. Data Analyst, Health Economics to assist with the collection and analysis of data related to the costs of tuberculosis care for two clinical trials in Brazil and India. This role involves working with a large research team to synthesis health economic evidence and conduct key analyses to assess the cost, cost-effectiveness, and impact on individual and household socioeconomic status of different interventions related to screening for latent tuberculosis, active case finding interventions, and provision of tuberculosis care.
General Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the collection and analysis of economic and costing data for two clinical trials in Brazil and India.
- Create, implement, and revise economic and costing data collection forms in Excel and Redcap.
- Oversee economic data collection and provide training to study staff on costing activities.
- Develop standard operating procedures for cost data collection.
- Manage cost data and conduct data cleaning, perform quality checks, and data analyses.
- Draft manuscripts and prepare presentations for conferences and key stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot challenges with data collection and analysis with in-country staff.
- Analyze cost and cost-effectiveness data using a range of health economic techniques, including Monte Carlo simulation, regression analysis, sensitivity analysis (deterministic and probabilistic), and Markov simulation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Five years of experience.
- Additional education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in health economics and costing research.
- Familiarity working in an international setting with a diverse team.
- Knowledge of Redcap and scientific data collection.
- Prior experience writing scientific manuscripts.
- Doctoral degree in health economics, epidemiology, public health, or a similar field.
