Job Profile

The Data Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for collecting project data from the field according to the agreed Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) guidelines and process the collected data into usable formats for analysis of the over-all projects. He/she will support to facilitate M&E system’s implementation including monitoring, accountability initiatives, and compile lessons learnt collaboratively with field staff and key stakeholders of the programmes, and will receive guidance from Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) personnel of World Vision Lanka (WVL).

Major Responsibilities

  • Oversee the implementation of appropriate and routine project monitoring data collection tools to contribute to appropriate project implementation and programmatic decision making.
  • Conduct regular field visits and document monitoring findings for evidence-based decision making.
  • Ensure evidence-based monitoring information are used to adjust the program interventions towards project objectives and these are captured in reports.
  • Facilitate to share the cross learnings, best practices with appropriate group/ stakeholders.
  • Writes regular draft M&E reports on progress of the planned activities.
  • Assist in documentation and dissemination of case studies and key lessons learnt to the project and the other stakeholders.
  • Assist Project MEAL Coordinator to develop appropriate tools for project level accountability mechanism.
  • Support project manager to develop and facilitate the effective compliance handling process and tools if needed.
  • Update the knowledge and capacity of his/her own, on new partnership initiatives, country development trends.

Required qualifications, experience & competencies

  • Preferred minimum One (1) year of working experience in MEAL / Data management.
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline (Preferred Management, or any Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics degrees) – STEM degree or 2 Years Diploma with minimum 2-3 Years of experience (Management or STEM) Or1 Year Diploma or certificate with Min 5 Years Experiences (Management or STEM).
  • Ability to read, write and speak in English and Tamil or Sinhala
