About the Role: 

The Commercial Effectiveness team came together recently. Its purpose is to understand and maximise business performance and drive up consumer value through the strategic use of digital tech and data. 

The Head of Marketing Effectiveness within this team will be responsible for understanding, measuring and optimising marketing strategies and initiatives to ensure maximum reach, engagement and ROI impact. This role involves leading a team of Product Managers for data product build to enable analysis of marketing performance, development of measurement frameworks, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in marketing efforts.

The role should have strong understanding of Commercial and Marketing Technology and business outcomes and be a credible advisor on achieving the enterprise initiative outcomes.

The role will also manage significant foundation data delivery and significant AI and analytics data products. The role holder will be expected to understand and credibly influence the development of these platforms for the benefit of the Business.

The role holder will be one of the key accountable senior leaders in a cross functional team made up of Digital & Tech functions, Data teams, Business Teams and BUs. The resources may be sourced internally or through multiple vendors. The role will need to provide strong leadership and guidance to cross-functional teams to create a high-performance culture and takes ownership of critical decisions and provides clear direction, actively leading problem-solving discussions across boundaries.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing effectiveness strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Drive a culture of data-driven decision-making across marketing teams.
  • Lead cross functional teams in data product build leveraging agile methodology / set up.

2. Performance Measurement:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Analyse marketing data and trends to provide actionable insights for improvement.
  • Lead build of relevant data products to support.

3. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure alignment on goals and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and vendors to enhance marketing performance.

4. Market Research and Insights:

  • Conduct market research to understand consumer behaviour and preferences.
  • Utilise insights to inform marketing strategies and tactics.

5. Budget Management:

  • Oversee marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively to maximize ROI.
  • Monitor spending and provide recommendations for optimisation.

6. Training and Development:

  • Mentor and develop marketing teams on best practices in measurement and effectiveness.
  • Foster a culture of learning and experimentation within the marketing department.

7. Reporting and Communication:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on marketing effectiveness to senior leadership.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing analytics, performance measurement, or related roles, preferably in consumer healthcare.
  • Strong understanding of marketing principles and methodologies.


Preferred Skills:

  • Proficiency in analytics tools and platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, Tableau, CRM systems).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience of leading / working in agile delivery teams.
