Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst

This position is part of the Enterprise Applications and Data Platforms (EADP) department  located in Brea, CA and will be on-site. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

You will be a part of the Business Intelligence (BI) team and report to the Senior Manager Business Applications responsible for Business Intelligence Applications and Data Platforms. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Develop data driven visualizations, dashboards and reports that  answer pressing business questions across a wide range of functional areas. 
• Learn business processes, objectives, and the underlying data to develop analytics solutions. 
• Research, learn, experiment, and test new applications and technologies independently. 

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Data Science or related field
• Development experience with relational databases, SQL, and BI applications such as Power BI,  Oracle Analytics (OAS/OBI), Tableau, Qlik, etc. 
• Modeling structured and/or unstructured data.  Familiarity with data warehouses, data lakes, and data architecture concepts.    
• Experience working within Beckman Coulter in internship role.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Communicating technical concepts to non-technical colleagues and vice versa.
• Defining business processes and converting them to technical requirements.
• Using data science tools and techniques such as machine learning, Python, R, data mining.
