We are looking for a hard-working Senior Engineer with system admin experience to join NVIDIA’s RAPIDS Operations team. As a member of the Operations team, you’ll have the opportunity to help support and grow the RAPIDS project. You will work closely with RAPIDS development teams to help scope, test, deploy, and support C++ and Python libraries and containers.

RAPIDS is the open-source suite for GPU-accelerated data science, spanning from ETL and data transformation to visualization, graph analytics, and machine learning. RAPIDS supports customers and partners ranging from individual data scientists to the world’s largest supercomputers and Fortune 500 companies. What you’ll be doing:

  • Run a server lab environment across multiple data centers used by 100+ developers

  • Help scope, design, and configure cloud-based deployments for production, proof-of-concept, and developer testing

  • Streamline and operate our infrastructure and development processes

  • Automate everything that can be automated

What we need to see:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of experience

  • Linux system administration experience (Ubuntu strongly preferred)

  • Background with cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc) especially scoping permissions and following budget constraints

  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible or Terraform

  • Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Excellent scripting and debugging skills in languages such as Bash or Python

  • Good knowledge of CI/CD and related tools (Git, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

  • Experience with Conda and/or PyPI wheel packaging

  • Prior work with open-source development and community building on GitHub

The base salary range is 140,000 USD - 258,750 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
