The Opportunity

Adobe Research is seeking research scientists in computer graphics, computer vision and machine learning to join the Creative Intelligence Lab, based in San Jose. This is an exciting opportunity to envision and build the creative tools of the future. As a research scientist at Adobe, you will be working with a best-in-class team of research scientists and engineers to invent algorithms for hard research problems, and incorporate these algorithms into Adobe products, thus putting your work in the hands of artists and designers. Our lab encourages publication of research ideas and supports collaborative research efforts with academic institutions. Our internship program provides an influx of new insights, making our lab an exciting place for technical growth.

What you will do

  • Pursue research problems in 3D computer vision, computer graphics and machine learning, especially passionate about reconstruction, inverse rendering, and 3D-aware image and video editing.
  • Collaborate with other researchers at Adobe to invent innovative solutions for these problems.
  • Publish and present your research at academic venues.
  • Collaborate with product groups to integrate your research into Adobe's products.

What you will need

  • PhD. in Computer Science or a related technical field
  • Extensive background in 3D computer vision, computer graphics and machine learning.
  • A strong peer-reviewed publication track record in premier computer vision, graphics and machine learning conferences
  • Strong Python and deep learning development skills. C++ development skills are a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A desire to conduct innovative research and develop sophisticated features for Adobe products.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $113,700 -- $211,900 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
