Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines and workflows to ingest, transform, cleanse, and integrate large volumes of structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and software engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into technical design specifications.
• Identify, design, and implement solutions for data quality monitoring, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data across various systems and databases.
• Optimize data storage and retrieval strategies to improve overall system performance and scalability.
• Build and maintain data processing frameworks and tools to automate data workflows and enable self-service data exploration.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues and performance bottlenecks, providing proactive support to ensure smooth data operations.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, and identify opportunities for process or technology improvements.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, fostering knowledge sharing and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, working with large-scale data environments.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Databricks, Azure Synapse, Data Factory
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with Azure data lake, Databricks/Spark.
• Solid understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data integration techniques.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
