Waymo's Product Data Science team works with Engineering, Product and Operations to help us make the most informed decisions using data. Our team collaborates on projects across the company — from driving quality and operational efficiency to market analysis and rider satisfaction scores — we help to safely and efficiently scale the Waymo Driver. We are data-driven, curious, and to new information.

In this hybrid role, you will report to a Product Data Science Manager, Commercial Operations.

You will:

  • Partner with Operations, Product and Engineering teams to scale and improve Waymo's fleet response and monitoring
  • Perform advanced analytics and modeling to optimize Waymo's response to vehicle needs while improving efficiency
  • Build and maintain state of the art reporting infrastructure to enable continuous decision making
  • Work closely with Engineering teams to define and build Data infrastructure for Fleet assistance and monitoring
  • Communicate and present on a regular basis to Waymo leadership

You have:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Advanced analytics skills
  • Ability to structure and solve ambiguous problems
  • Data visualization
  • Coding skills (SQL and basic python)
  • Great communication and stakeholder management

We prefer:

  • Expertise performing analytics with Fleet Operations, Fleet Maintenance, or Reverse Logistics at scale
  • Experience with improving operations at scale
  • Experience building Optimization models

The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the role location or, if the role can be performed remote, the specific salary range for your preferred location, during the hiring process. 

Waymo employees are also eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous Company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
