We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Data Analytics to lead and transform our data-driven decision-making processes. This role is pivotal in establishing and executing our data analytics and business intelligence strategy, ensuring the effective use of data to deliver actionable insights, improve business performance, and drive innovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, business intelligence, and leadership, with the ability to manage and inspire cross-functional teams, communicate insights to senior stakeholders, and implement advanced data solutions. The ideal candidate will be located in Ohio with the ability to easily travel to clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the organization’s data analytics and business intelligence strategy aligned with business goals
  • Lead a high-performing team of data analysts, BI developers, and data scientists to deliver impactful, data-driven insights
  • Partner with internal and external business units (e.g., Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance) to understand their data needs and deliver solutions to drive performance and growth
  • Manage the integration of data across multiple systems and platforms to create a unified, accurate data ecosystem
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant data privacy regulations and internal data security policies
  • Implement data visualization strategies that enable both technical and non-technical teams to easily interpret data and make data-driven decisions
  • Continuously optimize and innovate BI platforms and reporting tools to improve performance and efficiency
  • Conduct advanced data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in business operations and performance
  • Develop predictive and prescriptive analytics capabilities to drive strategic initiatives and decision-making
  • Provide ongoing analysis of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track business health and recommend corrective actions when necessary
  • Build and mentor a diverse, high-performance analytics and business intelligence team
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and support professional development through training and career growth opportunities
  • Oversee resource allocation and project prioritization to ensure timely delivery of analytics solutions
  • Other duties as required 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on coaching and developing talent
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and execute tactically
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights in a clear and concise manner to non-technical audiences
  • A deep understanding of business processes and how data analytics can drive improvements across departments
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related fields, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing BI systems and analytics strategies that have driven business success
  • Strong expertise in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker) and BI platforms
  • Proficiency in data management tools, SQL, and modern analytics technologies (e.g., Python, R, Spark)
  • Experience with data governance, data warehousing, and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus
  • Ability to travel as needed
