The Microsoft Devices Supply Chain (MDSC) organization is critical to delivering on this mission and vision, maintaining responsibility for the end-to-end physical and digital supply chains for all of Microsoft’s vast array of hardware and software products including Xbox, Games, Accessories, Surface, Surface Hub, HoloLens, PC Hardware, Windows, Office and more.  

The team is seeking an analytical & innovative Senior Global Demand Planner to join the Xbox Supply Chain Planning team, responsible for driving the Xbox Console and Accessory strategy & performance to achieve the financial & overall category targets for the Xbox Hardware business.

Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with Go To Market, Sales, Finance cross functional partners as well as internal regional Sales and Operations Execution(S&OE), Supply Strategist and Planners to drive long-term sell through and sell in demand planning to achieve financial and operations targets. 
  • Drive optimal channel inventory to maximize revenue opportunities, ensure key customers and opportunities are supported across all of our customer segments and mitigate risk (excess, aged and stranded inventory) 
  • Oversee product transition forecasting ensuring that Microsoft is balancing customer and financial expectations with the product life cycle roadmaps. 
  • Ensure that key forecasting metrics are understood and actioned accordingly, including root cause investigation and leading cross-team efforts to drive necessary improvements 
  • You’ll also be responsible for integrating your plan within our systems and processes, developing new reporting tools to improve supply chain visibility and accuracy, and driving implementation and adoption of new capabilities. The ability to solve complex problems, work cross-functionally, and create clarity from complexity is a must!

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field AND 4+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, 
    • OR related field AND 8+ years supply chain, inventory management
    • OR sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in business presentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word, Power BI, etc.)
  • Data Analysis and Visualization skills (SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Power Pivot, etc.)
  • Program management skillsets with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience and proficiency in effective collaboration across multiple leadership levels of an organization
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous and fast moving environment

 

Demand Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
