About the team :

How can we help buyers and sellers trust each other? What information is most important for buyers when purchasing a car? How can we measure a user’s satisfaction with a new offer?  

Do these questions sound exciting? As a product analyst, you will drive better user experience by formulating the right questions and then figuring how to answer them using data analysis, machine learning, modeling, and continuous experimentation. 

Marktplaats is organized around multi-functional product teams which consist of product managers, UX designers, developers and analysts. The Product Analytics team supports the product teams, leading data-driven mentality and helping to build and evaluate new products. 

Expected Experience :

• 5+ years of experience in analytics or data science. You bring a wealth of expertise to the table. 

• Experience working closely with multi-functional product teams in a digital environment. Experience in e-commerce or similar companies is a plus. 

• You're adept at working with large datasets and highly proficient in SQL. Knowledge of Spark is a plus.

• Knowledge of Python or R, enhancing your ability to conduct analysis and derive insights.

• You have hands-on experience with experimentation methods such as A/B testing and possess a keen understanding of statistical and causal analysis.

• Preferably, a degree in statistics, computer science, econometrics, economics, or a related quantitative field.

• Curiosity for understanding user behavior, coupled with your initiative and drive, sets you apart in this role.

• You understand the interplay of data, product and tech, and exploring possibilities in this space energizes you.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, allow you to convey complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
