Automation Tester - Big Data

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Big Data Automation Tester responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts for big data applications. This role involves close collaboration with data engineers, developers, and QA teams to identify testing requirements, create test plans, and ensure the accuracy and performance of big data solutions. The ideal candidate will work within agile methodologies, ensuring the quality and reliability of big data platforms.
Must Have Skillsets (Mandatory) - 5+ years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years in the airline domain - Experience with big data platforms (e.g., Apache Hadoop, Hive) - Strong proficiency in automated testing using tools and frameworks (e.g., Apache Hadoop, Hive, or equivalents) - Database testing experience with platforms like Oracle, Redshift, and Hadoop - Advanced SQL skills for testing bulk data and troubleshooting complex systems - Strong analytical abilities to understand intricate systems and identify issues 
Good to Have Skillsets (Optional) - Familiarity with agile development methodologies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) - Experience providing comprehensive test execution reports to stakeholders - Ability to engage in cross-functional team collaboration to design and execute test cases 
Qualifications and Experience - 5-8 years of experience in IT, with significant expertise in big data automation testing - MCA, B.Tech in Computer Science, B.E. in Computer Science, or an equivalent degree - Proven experience in the airline domain is an advantage - Experience with database testing in environments such as Oracle, Redshift, and Hadoop
