Summary:

This position is responsible for serving our Foster Care department as a Data and Outreach Specialist. Duties include data collection, coordinating, data analytics and reports, managing prospective parents, assisting with training logs, parent screenings, and more.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Overseeing Data Collection: Ensuring that data is accurately collected and entered various systems; Running various reports to provide to Recruitment and Recruitment Supervisor.
  • Managing User Access: Providing training to users on how to effectively use the database and portals; Controlling who has access to various parts of the database and portals.
  • Coordinating with Technical Staff: Liaising with IT professionals to resolve technical issues and implement updates.
  • Manage Inquiry and prospective parent screenings: Screening potential foster parent applicants, entering in required systems and assigning to class.
  • Ensuring Data Quality: Monitoring the integrity and quality of the data within the systems and assisting with audit files to ensure integrity of data and documents that are uploaded.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Generating reports from the database and analyzing portal usage statistics to inform business decisions.
  • Training and Support: Assist with updating/creating Foster Parent training logs; Create all calendar invites for Foster Parent pre-service trainings, book locations when needed, and maintaining RSVP rosters and reminders for in-service training; Manages automated training component; Create all training certificates, distribute to Foster Parents and upload to Laserfiche for all training
  • Social Media Lead: Create/maintain Instagram/Facebook page for Foster Parents and prospective parents to provide daily information on training, helpful tips, Teaching Family Model tips, etc.

Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant fields such as Information Systems, Data Management, Business Analytics or related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in data management, preferably within a nonprofit or social services environment
  • Experience with database management systems and data quality assurance
  • Proficient with data reporting tools and applications such as Excel and Microsoft Power BI
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Adept verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
