Key responsibilities

As a key member of the BI team at the LAM Region, you will wear two huts: first as data scientist to build predictive models and secondly as Sr. BI Analyst to serve as a liaison between the business and the technical world converting technical into business terms. The ideal candidate is passionate and knows how to get results; is driven to create and build; is operationally credible; possess a relentless focus on the customer; and can effectively build, inspire and raise the analytics culture in the organization.

As a Data Scientist/ Sr. BI Analyst, you will be responsible for extracting data from various sources and utilizing machine learning tools to organize, process, clean, and validate the data. Your role includes identifying both internal and external data sources, collaborating with department heads to understand their requirements, and developing predictive models and machine learning algorithms to forecast and aid in decision-making.

• Develop forecasting models, causal inference, and machine learning approaches to address customer problems and customer demand.

• Work with all vertical stakeholders to assist with data-related issues (business/technical) and support their data infrastructure needs

•Build analytics reports that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics.
• Analyze, debug and correct issues with data pipelines.

• Analyze gaps between operational service levels and data output and make recommendations to address identified gaps

•Prepare and present KPIs and other program initiatives to internal stakeholders.
•Act as a bridge between BI and the business users to improve the business/technical understanding and facilitate the communication, i.e. assist different areas of the Business to understand data requirements and vice versa assist BI to understand business needs: requirement, expectation and business model.

• Promote and drive adoption of cutting-edge data science practices within the team.

•Performs other position related duties as specified by management.

We are looking for

You are a pro-active and self-driven individual who enjoys keeping a good structure of your own task portfolio.
You have an eye for details and a strong sense of urgency. It is important that you are a team player and have an open and trusted approach to our business and tech partners.

We expect the candidate to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in mathematics/Statistics/Data Science/ML or a closely related field with a preference for a Master’s degree.

•You have experience on Azure ML, ADF, Data Bricks, Panda, Jupiter NB, SSMS

• Solid understanding of Forecasting process and algorithms

•You have strong experience writing DAX, SQL, Panda, Python or Scala.

• Experience in building real-world, impactful ML products

• Familiarity with deep learning techniques for forecasting and recommendations and have used frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, etc.

• Experience with Big Data Platforms, Data Warehousing, Data Lake, Data Mart concepts.

•A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player. Understand business problems and apply your expertise within predictive modelling and machine learning to design, implement, monitor and iteratively improve on our suite of predictive products.

•You have experience on frontend tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.

•You have experience on Data Modeling.

• Self-starter and problem-solver with ability to effectively navigate in a highly ambiguous environment

•  Excellent communication skills (English) and ability to compellingly present analytics topics to non-technical audiences

Nice To Have

  • You have prior experience sing Kubeflow

  • Prior experience with Transportation and Logistics

  • Spanish speaking



  
Pay Range:           
 
$105,000 to $110,000
  
*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
