We are currently looking for a Data Analytics Manager to join us at our facility in Troy, MI or Philadelphia, PA.

Role Summary:

The Data Analytics Manager is responsible for driving the use of numerical data, analytical software, and statistical techniques to identify trends and provide insights, collects, and interprets data to help the business units improve performance and meet their overall goals. Candidate will report to the Director Operational Excellence partnering with global manufacturing, logistics and distribution, quality, engineering, supply chain planning, and environmental health and safety to drive AOE across the respective business.  This role will focus on driving bottom-line performance and improving service while supporting best practices in manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Recognize business requirements in the context of BI and create data models to transform raw data into relevant information
  • Using Power BI, create dashboards and interactive visual reports
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) with specific objectives and track them regularly
  • Analyze data and display it in reports to aid decision-making
  • Create, test, and deploy Power BI scripts, as well as execute efficient deep analysis
  • Create charts and data documentation with explanations of algorithms, parameters, models, and relationships
  • Construct a data warehouse
  • Make technological adjustments to current BI systems to improve their performance
  • Uses continuous improvement skills to identify and implement activities aligned with operational excellence strategy. This includes the implementation of programs to standardize processes, reduce costs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the network.
  • Facilitates training and development to build continuous improvement toolkits (i.e., process mapping, root cause analysis, etc.) and drive consistent methodologies across the network.
  • Develops and implements uniform standards and reporting processes for all continuous improvement activities.
  • Ensures operational excellence methods and activities are adopted and utilized throughout the organization.
  • Develop a culture of collaboration and ensure best practices are shared across the network. Common solutions to common problems should be applied as much as possible.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; a focus in information technology or computers highly preferred.
  • 5+ Years of experience in Power Bi and Analytics; ability to run queries on Power BI desktop.
  • Proficient background in software development.
  • Proficient in doing advanced-level computations on data sets.
  • Demonstrated capability of leading project teams to tangible results.
  • Manage project timelines and communicate process blueprints for multiple sites within Axalta.
