About the Role:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions to transform data into actionable insights. You will work with large datasets, design interactive dashboards, and support decision-making by providing key business metrics and reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

BI Solution Development

• Develop, design, and maintain Business Intelligence solutions, including dashboards, reports, and analytics tools using BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and create solutions that meet business needs.
• Integrate multiple data sources, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data loading, processing, and visualization.
• Design and implement data models, cubes, and complex queries for analysis and reporting.

Data Analysis and Reporting

• Analyze large datasets and present data-driven insights in a clear and concise manner.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources.
• Create automated and ad-hoc reports for internal teams, providing actionable business insights.
• Design and generate interactive dashboards and visualizations that allow users to explore business data dynamically.

Data Quality and Governance

• Ensure data quality by implementing data validation checks, improving data integrity, and performing regular audits of BI solutions.
• Work closely with data governance teams to ensure that BI solutions adhere to data management standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to define data sources, data definitions, and other data governance standards.

Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting

• Optimize BI solutions for performance, ensuring they handle large volumes of data efficiently and generate reports within required timeframes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data issues, performance bottlenecks, and report inconsistencies.
• Recommend and implement improvements to data processing workflows, visualization strategies, and BI solution performance.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure BI solutions meet their needs.
• Provide training and support to end-users in using BI tools and interpreting reports.
• Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, explaining complex technical concepts in a user-friendly manner.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in BI and data analytics.
• Explore new ways to improve BI tools, reporting processes, and overall data strategy within the organization.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement to streamline data management and reporting workflows.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Experience:
• 3-5 years of experience in Business Intelligence development, data analysis, or a related role.
• Hands-on experience with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL processes, and database management.
• Experience with SQL, including complex queries, joins, and optimization.
• Familiarity with programming languages like Python, R, or others used in BI development is a plus.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.) and data visualization best practices.
• Strong experience with SQL databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and data integration tools.
• Understanding of data modeling, OLAP, OLTP systems, and relational database structures.
• Experience with ETL tools and frameworks (e.g., SSIS, Talend, Informatica).
• Knowledge of cloud-based BI platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus.
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
• Certifications (preferred):
• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI).
• Tableau Desktop Specialist or Certified Associate.
• AWS Certified Data Analytics or similar certifications.
