We are looking for a Director to join the FP&A team. Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for leading and building the Corporate FP&A function to forecast, plan & report on the consolidated company financials and oversee the implementation and maintenance of the team’s planning tool. They will help evaluate and determine the overall strategy for investment, headcount planning, targets, and compensation. The Director will also partner with senior executives in the organizations to forecast, plan, analyze business activities, and model out key investments and associated returns. This is a player-coach role and will require hands-on modeling and presentation work.
The Director will interact frequently with senior management in this role and must become a trusted thought partner to both the CFO, CEO, and the executive team.
What You'll Achieve:
- Own and develop the company's core financial model and planning processes, partnering closely with CFO
- Drive annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning cycles
- Manage comprehensive planning calendar
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of FP&A planning tool to scale financial processes
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support strategic decision-making and capital allocation Strategic Analysis & Business Partnership
- Partner with executive team to establish and monitor financial targets
- Provide data-driven insights to shape company strategy and investment decisions
- Translate complex financial analyses into clear recommendations for executive decision-making
- Develop business cases and financial analyses for strategic initiatives and investment decisions Reporting & Performance Analysis
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports for senior management and stakeholders
- Analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior year; identify trends and variances
- Track and report on company OKRs and key financial targets
- Support investor relations activities and quarterly reporting requirements
- Design and implement company-wide performance metrics and KPIs
- Lead monthly/quarterly business reviews with the executive team Process Excellence & Team Leadership
- Manage one Business Partner on the Corporate FP&A team
- Establish scalable processes and systems for financial planning and reporting
- Drive automation initiatives to streamline FP&A processes
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve the efficiency of financial processes
- Support CFO in developing team capabilities
- Set team goals and ensure alignment with overall business objectives
What We're Looking For:
- Required experience: Experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments at an enterprise SaaS startup and prior experience in investment banking or private equity. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 12+ years of progressive responsibility with a minimum of 5 years of management experience.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
- Proven track record of partnering with and influencing senior leadership to drive strategic initiatives and financial performance.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and urgent demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and tools such as Excel, Netsuite, Tableau, and planning tools (Pigment, Anaplan, etc.)
- Strong leadership and team management skills to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves and tackle tasks in a start-up environment.
