Join our team and use your expertise to fight crime! We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to lead our work with Responsible AI in the realm of anti-money laundering (AML), counter-terrorist financing (CTF) and fraud. Our team focus on building machine learning models to detect financial crimes. What can be more rewarding as a data scientist than dedicating your time to fight one of our society’s biggest threats?

We are particularly interested in people with strong problem solving skills, who loves exploring data and build realistic models that finds patterns in the data that would otherwise be missed. We look for people who understand that the best models are built in collaboration with other data scientists and experts in financial crime behaviours.

The position is available in Sweden and Finland.

About this opportunity

You'll be part of the Financial Crime Investigation, Intelligence & Analytics (FCIIA) data science team, which aims to assess and prevent key financial crime threats facing Nordea now and in the future. Your responsibilities:

• Key point of contact in all ethical, regulatory and legal matters including model risk, validation and compliance

• Ensure our machine learning and Generative AI models are compliant with existing legal, ethical and regulatory frameworks in Nordea

• Proactively identify regulatory gaps and work towards updating internal policies to address new risks & requirements in AI and machine learning, specifically related to financial crime prevention

• Stay up to date on global trends in financial crime and AI regulation and propose necessary changes to internal frameworks

• Bonus if you have:

  • Experience working with machine learning and generative AI

  • Experience working in financial crime preventions

  • Experience with complex stakeholder management in large highly regulated organization
