Key responsibilities/What you do


Within Allianz Partners, Global Solutions Travel Product and Underwriting is responsible for monitoring and steering the profitability of the global travel portfolio and steer the financial planning process and target achievements. It is repsonsible for building global solutions to assure proper goverancne of Product and Underwriting for the global Travel business.

 

As Travel Portfolio Analyst, you will be working closely together with the Head of Portfolio Monitoring and Remediation and you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop new tools, concepts and database to improve monitoring and steering capabilities.
  • Support the quarterly data reporting process and further improve automation and data quality.
  • Improve the portfolio monitoring capability with advanced data analytics and predictive modelling.
  • Follow-up on remediation actions and development of the portfolio
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, Actuarial and local Case Underwriters to review underperforming areas
  • Identify and monitor new risks across the Travel LoB
  • Prepare presentations and dashboards for LoB Travel as well as the Board of Management

 

We are looking for a full-time intern for a minimum 6-month period. The position will be located at our Global Office located in Munich – Ostbahnhof (Germany)
 

Key requirements/What you bring


To be successful in this position you will need to have the following skills/ experience:

  • Excellent university degree or equivalent experience, ideally in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Mathematics/Applied Statistics, Engenieering; MBA is a plus
  • Experience in data analytics, modelling and dashboard creation
  • Excellent MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Experience with BI tool such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects, Cognos
  • Experience with coding (Python, VBA) as well as SQL database is a plus
  • Very sharp analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, dynamic, self-steering and team player
  • Ability to work independently and quickly take on new tasks and topics
  • Excellent organizational skills and at ease with multi-tasking
  • Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g. French, German) is a plus
